• Account information such as your email address, authentication method, and basic profile data.
• Billing state such as Stripe customer, subscription, price, status, and renewal dates. GotGrant does not receive or store your full card number.
• Saved search criteria, including research keywords and filters, alert frequency, pause state, last-check timestamps, matching-record fingerprints, and delivery history needed to avoid duplicate alerts and retry failed delivery.
• Messages and contact details you choose to send through support channels.
• Technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, browser, device, and security events.

We use this information to authenticate you, provide subscription access, run your searches, deliver alerts, prevent duplicate messages, support billing, secure the service, and improve reliability.

Saved-search alerts are transactional service emails that you control per search. They are separate from marketing email preferences.

We do not sell personal information or sell placement in NIH-derived search results.

We share only the information needed for processors to provide their part of the service:

• Vercel hosts and operates the application.
• Supabase provides account authentication and application data storage.
• Stripe processes checkout, payment methods, subscriptions, invoices, and billing-portal access.
• Resend delivers account and saved-search alert emails.
• Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics help us understand aggregate traffic and product performance.

We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights.

Authentication and security cookies keep you signed in and protect account actions. Analytics services may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and performance; browser controls can restrict non-essential cookies.

We retain account and saved-search data while your account exists, billing records for legally required periods, and short operational delivery records for reliability. Backups and processor logs may persist for limited additional periods.

GotGrant is intended for adults in research and related professional settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
